I would recommend The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. He is a wonderful author. This book was recommended to me by a friend, and I have now read five books by him!

you can't go wrong with susan collins. Hunger Games is like Lord of The Flies but very modern.

Ian Fleming is always great to, and no one can live up to him, no matter who tries to follow suit.

Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko
Powerful novel, it is based on a young American Indian in the Laguna tribe. The de-centering of a nation and a culture, the effects of war. I loved it. And I have a copy if you so desire. If you have the time, and it doesn't take long, The Old Man and the Sea always brings it. Hmm...a play for good measure, A Long Days Journey into Night, by Eugene O'neill. Breaks my heart a thousand times.And how about Sinclair Lewis? You just might like it. Poetry, Margaret Atwood...William Carlos Williams. If you have never read The Wasteland I think you would appreciate it. I'm taking this too far. My apologies.

the other side, by bishop james pike. i bought it on 50% day off at salvation army. it's about the psychedelic drug movement in the 1960's, and how they're may be a correlation to the 'other side'...oooo aaaah!
